We are going to be exploring the book of Philippians through a small group Bible study that will be using a Total Immersion Bible Study method. In our study we are going to be focusing on the whole text of Philippians and not just small sections of it. In doing so we want to capture the whole theme of the book and get a sense of what Paul is trying to say in this letter.
When was the last time you read a thank-you card one sentence at a time and then consulted study guides on what that one sentence meant? Isn’t it strange that we only study the Bible like that and never study a book as a whole? The Bible deserves studied in depth and is worthy of the finest attention but it also needs to be read like a book.
